Visit the Website of the beautiful S&S boat, Sunstone. Sunstone was designed in late 1964. In the design, Olin Stephens developed his 'Finisterre' model, keeping the centreboard, but deepening the hull and adopting a low aspect, but powerful sloop rig. However, Sunstone was revolutionary as the first of S&S's many successful fin and skeg designs. She was built to Lloyds 100A in 1965 and has kept her varnished hull ever since. Tom and Vicky Jackson have been recording their life afloat this wonderful boat and their pages provide an inspiring glimpse into that life.
Visiting Sunstone
New adventure revealed
In May 2010 did we, Kerry Costello, Anne Marie Poulsen and Steen Riisberg have the opportunity to visit Tom and Vicky Jackson in Sunstone, which was moored in Auckland, New Zealand. It was a very interesting visit which gave an insight in their most recent plans.
Jim Koss shares with the trials and tribulations of Baccarat's sail from Barcelona to Greece after the AGM. I don't think life can have been too tough though - with seas calm enough to eat at a set table on the foredeck! Oh ok Jim there was a bit of blow to end the tour with....but its the spice that makes the dish right? I've put this one on the UK and Ireland site, because, although it does not specifically describe the adventures of a UK yacht or crew, it is such a great story about how belonging to the association brings us together with people we would not otherwise have the opportunity to run across.

We all like to read about exciting tales of circumventing the globe, and some of our members do just that. Most of us however, achieve great experiences during the yearly 2 - 4 weeks sailing holiday. Your cruising stories can be of great inspiration for other members, so let us all hear about it. One week or two years, exploring Chichester Harbour or Auckland Harbour, let us all benefit;
send your stories to the webmaster.
